Please find below a few important updates LAUSD announced today related to our return from winter break.
School will resume on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 for in-person learning. LAUSD has mandated that Monday, January 10, 2022 be a Pupil Free Day for all schools.
All students and employees, vaccinated and unvaccinated, returning for in-person instruction MUST have a negative COVID test result before coming to school.
The nearest LAUSD COVID-19 testing sites to our school are Fairfax High School and Los Angeles Senior High. Both sites will operate this Tuesday through Saturday from 8am-4pm. While not necessary, appointments are encouraged and can be made at https://achieve.lausd.net/covidtestingappt. Information about additional testing sites and their hours of operation can also be found on the same website.
In lieu of testing at an LAUSD facility, families may upload external PCR, antigen, or at-home tests onto the student’s Daily Pass account no later than Sunday, January 9, 2022. Please see the attached instructions or check https://www.thirdstreetschool.com/back-to-better on how to upload an external test.
Free COVID-19 at-home rapid self-tests are available for K-12 students and can be picked up on Friday, January 7 and Saturday, January 8 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at any of LAUSD’s 63 Grab & Go sites. Each student may receive two self-tests. Please visit https://www.lausd.net/covid for a map of pickup locations.
Weekly testing will continue for all students and employees through the month of January.
Masking will be required at all times, indoors and outdoors. It is strongly recommended that all students wear well-fitting, non-cloth masks with a nose wire. All employees are required to wear surgical grade masks or higher.
Daily Pass health screening is required for all who enter school campuses. For more information on this and other policies, please visit https://achieve.lausd.net/spring2022.
