Hispanic Heritage Month

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the rich histories, vibrant cultures and remarkable contributions of Hispanic Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

Did you know There are about 54 million Hispanics and Latinos in the United States. At 3rd Street, our Hispanic students make up roughly 14% of our student population and contribute greatly to our community. Our Hispanic teachers and staff, through their hard work and dedication also enrich the lives of our students and the culture of our school.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month is an honor and privilege. Let’s recognize and celebrate the rich contributions of our Hispanic families not only this month, but throughout the year!
