Schoolwide Assembly
There will be a schoolwide assembly for students on Monday, March 1 at 9:00 AM. We will be kicking off our celebration of Women's History Month as well as having a spirit day. Students are encouraged to wear a 3rd Street shirt or blue and gold. The Zoom link and password will be emailed and texted via our Blackboard system on Monday at 8 AM.
Community Meeting
Join Principal Kim, PTA, and FOT at March's Community Meeting this Friday, March 5 at 9:30 AM, as they provide our school with the latest news and updates. The Zoom link and password will be shared via Blackboard Connect email on Thursday and by text on Friday morning.
Main Office Hours
Beginning March 1, the main office will be staffed daily between 8 and 3 PM.
Renewing Intra-District Permits
Per District policy, Intra-district permits must be renewed annually. In order to renew your child(ren)’s permit for the coming school year, please complete the attached intra-district permit application and submit it at http://bit.ly/3rdstrenewintra or drop it off at school.
Please be sure to check "A renewal of an existing permit" at the top of the application and in the Permit Requested Section, check off "Continuing Enrollment." Additionally, please note that the signature from the principal of the school of residence (home school) is NOT required when renewing a permit.
Intent to Withdraw
Are you a grade TK-4 family that is considering having your child continue their education elsewhere in 2021-22? If so, please help us with our 2021-22 planning by completing http://bit.ly/3rdstintenttowithdraw. This form is solely for planning purposes and your response does not jeopardize your child's ability to continue at 3rd Street. All current students will automatically be rolled over to 2021-22. No child will be withdrawn till we receive official notice from a family that their child(ren) has been enrolled elsewhere.
OLSAT-8
The Spring 2021 OLSAT-8 administration for 2nd grade students has been placed on hold until school campuses reopen and when the District determines that students can be tested safely in person per County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health protocols. If District school campuses remain closed this school year, Gifted/Talented Programs, Advanced Learning Options, will schedule an OLSAT-8 Fall 2021 administration for 3rd grade students who have not been tested and a Spring 2022 administration for 2nd grade students.
