Schoolwide Assembly
There will be a schoolwide assembly for students on Monday, May 3 at 10:15 AM. We will be celebrating spirit day. Students are encouraged to wear a 3rd Street shirt or blue and gold. The Zoom link and password will be emailed and texted via our Blackboard system on Monday at 8 AM.
Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week
May 3-7 is Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week. Let's show our fantastic school staff how much we appreciate all they do! Students can show teachers and staff some love by posting videos and artwork to PADLET. PTA is also organizing a treat buffet in recognition of our fantastic school staff. Return to Campus Updates
Last week, roughly 80% of our students were able to receive a Covid-19 test on campus. LAUSD has informed the school that so long as students received a baseline test seven days prior to coming to school, they will be able to continue coming to school regardless if they were able to receive a test on campus last week or not. On campus testing is scheduled to occur again this week. The school has yet to receive notification what day the testing will be.
A number of students were unable to test as there was no parent consent form
on file or a prior consent form indicated that the test could not be provided without the parent being present. If you child's baseline test was NOT completed by LAUSD and you did NOT submit a parent consent last week, please complete the testing consent form and forward it to Patricia Yi at
Beginning Monday, May 3, grade 4 students will enter from the Las Palmas B entrance.
Students in Room 9's PM cohort will now be dismissed through the auditorium exit.

Community Meeting
Join Principal Kim, PTA, and FOT at May's Community Meeting this Friday, May 7 at 9:30 AM, as they provide our school with the latest news and updates, including information on hybrid instruction and students returning to campus.
