PRESIDENTS DAY HOLIDAY
The school will be closed on Monday, February 21 in honor of Presidents Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 22.
FAIRFAX COMMUNITY OF SCHOOLS TOWN HALL MEETING
Every month, the Community of Schools that 3rd Street belongs to holds a Town Hall Meeting hosted by our local district and our Community of Schools Administrator. This month's meeting is on Tuesday, February 22 at 5 PM. Register at http://tinyurl.com/FairfaxFeb22.
UPDATED SPRING 2022 COVID POLICIES LAUSD's recently updated its isolation and quarantine requirements in alignment with CDC recommendations and the latest California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) Health Orders.
Students may now wear a wear well-fitting, non-cloth masks of multiple layers with a nose wire, or cloth masks that meet American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards for high filtration efficiency (ASTM F3502-Level 2) or have a particle filtration efficiency of at least 95%. Effective Tuesday, February 22, 2022, outdoor masking is optional for students and employees. This protocol also applies to Early Education students, including preschool, ETK, and PALS students.
PERIODIC COVID TESTING
Our COVID periodic testing this week will take place on Tuesday, February 22. Students who tested positive and need an antigen test will NOT be able to test at our school. Students who fall in this category should test at one of the designated sites below, Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM to 4:30 PM.
