LAS PALMAS SAFETY VALET
We will be making a concerted effort this week to streamline our morning safety valet off Las Palmas. Please be reminded that Parents who would like to park and walk their child to the entrance, should not park along any of the school-side curbs where our safety valet runs. Parents are encouraged to park north of 2nd Street, east of June, and west of Las Palmas and enjoy the walk to their designated entrance. This upcoming week, families from Ms. Lee's Room 18 classroom are assigned to volunteer at our June Street A safety valet and Mr. Westefer's Room 35 classroom to our Las Palmas A safety valet. Parents not in those classrooms may also volunteer. Parents can sign-up for our safety valet here.
BOARD DISTRICT 4 VIRTUAL TOWN HALL
Los Angeles School Board Member Nick Melvoin is hosting a virtual town hall next Monday, April 4 at 4 PM specifically for 3rd St families and the new neighborhoods he gained as a result of redistricting in the Hancock Park/Greater Wilshire area.

APEIS VIRTUAL OFFICE HOURS
Gretchen Eduardo, our Assitant Principal Elementary Instructional Specialist (APEIS) in charge of supporting our special education programs, students, and families, is currently supporting our school virtually. Beginning Monday, April 4, Ms. Eduardo will be hosting Zoom Office Hours on Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30 PM to address questions and concerns related to Special Education. PERIODIC COVID TESTING
Our COVID periodic testing this week will take place on Friday, April 8.
LAST 1:30 PM DISMISSAL FOR THE 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR
April 5, 2022 is our last 1:30 PM dismissal for the 2021-22 school year. After Spring Break, students will be dismissed at 2:30 every Tuesday.
MINIMUM DAY
Friday, April 8 is a minimum day. Students will be dismissed at 12:35 PM.
SPRING BREAK
3rd Street Elementary will be on Spring Break from Monday, April 11 through Friday, April 15. School will resume on Monday, April 18.
