KDLP SHOWCASE - THURSDAY, APRIL 28
Join us on Thursday, April 28 for an evening of Korean dance, drumming, and music performed by our very own Korean Dual Language students. Let's celebrate our community's diversity and the efforts of our KDLP students and teachers. Final details on dinner options are being worked out...details are forthcoming.
LAUSD SUMMER OF LEARNING 2022
This summer, LAUSD is offering both academic and enrichment summer programs for students who are currently in Expanded Transitional Kindergarten (ETK) through 12th Grade. To register, parents can go online at summerschool.lausd.net.
FAIRFAX COMMUNITY OF SCHOOLS TOWN HALL MEETING
Every month, the Community of Schools that 3rd Street belongs to holds a Town Hall Meeting hosted by our local district and our Community of Schools Administrator. This month's meeting is on Tuesday, April 26 at 5 PM. Register at https://tinyurl.com/FairfaxApril26.
PERIODIC COVID TESTING
Our COVID periodic testing this week will take place on Friday, April 29.
ACEing AUTISM TENNIS PROGRAM
ACEing Autism, a tennis program for children diagnosed with Autism, is offering a set of 3 tennis clinics on May 7 (10:30-11:30 am), May 14 (9:00-10:00 am), and May 21 (9:00-10:00 am) at Marlborough School.
The program will be completely free and equipment will be provided. There will be 1-2 volunteers assisting each child, and all of the volunteers will have gone through training about how to work with kids with autistic spectrum disorder. Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay and watch during the clinics. Students do not necessarily need an autism diagnosis to participate in the program; Children with other closely-related developmental conditions that may prevent them from accessing mainstream recreational activities are also welcome!
