MAKING CARING COMMON (MCC): LA RAMS VISIT & MEDIA
On Tuesday, November 1, as announced, the Los Angeles Rams are visiting 3rd Street School in support of our Making Caring Common Program. Several representatives of media team will be present to cover the event. The filming team will be focusing on the Rams representatives in addition to some general footage of the staff and students. However, if for any reason you do not want your student being filmed at this event, please let your classroom teacher by tomorrow, October 31. Otherwise, we will assume you consent to filming and authorize the use of film captured at the event.
알려드린 바와 같이 11월 1일 화요일에 Los Angeles Rams가 3rd Street School을 방문하여 우리의 배려 공통 프로그램 만들기를 지원합니다. 미디어 팀의 여러 대표가 이벤트를 취재하기 위해 참석할 것입니다. 촬영팀은 교직원과 학생들의 일반적인 영상 외에도 RAMS 대표자에게 초점을 맞출 예정입니다. 그러나 어떤 이유로든 이 행사에서 학생이 촬영되는 것을 원하지 않으시면 담임선생님께 내일10월 31일까지 말씀해 주십시오. 그렇지 않으면 촬영에 동의한 것으로 간주하고 이벤트에서 캡처한 필름의 사용을 승인하실것으로 사용하겠습니다.

Please congratulate Jayden Arias (Room 20) for winning third place in the 2022 Dokdo East Art Contest sponsored by the Korean Consulate General in Los Angeles. The Korean Consulate General hosted this special competition to celebrate Dokdo Day on October 25th. We are so proud that one of our 3rd Street students was selected and received the award for winning 3rd place in the elementary group.
REFLECTIONS ART COMPETITION

SCHOOL EXPERIENCE SURVEY FOR PARENTS - REMINDER
The School Experience Survey (SES) is an annual survey administered in the fall to all LAUSD schools. Survey results provide schools with important feedback from teachers, staff, students and parents. Please click here to to access the district SES website page where parents can complete the survey. READ AROUND THE WORLD
Thank you so much to our community for the overwhelming interest in our Read Around the World challenge! There are a limited number of Read Around the World books available in the 3rd Street Library, so we strongly encourage participating students to make use of your nearest public library, online resources such as Epic! or Libby, or our local Larchmont bookstore, Chevalier’s.
Read Around the World is continually in need of parent volunteers to help in the library with our students who are participating in the reading challenge. Both before- and after-school times are available. A small time commitment but lots of fun! Please sign up for a slot using the link below:
YEARBOOK
The 2022-23 Third Street Yearbook is already underway! Parents/Caregivers, please help us capture memories by submitting photos of your students, class activities, and school events here. Pre-order your yearbook at a reduced price ($25 / yearbook), place an ad honoring your student or local business, and donate a yearbook here. School code is 228294. ** Please make sure your student’s classroom information is accurate for easier distribution ** Feel free to contact 3rdstyearbook@gmail.com with any questions. Deadline to order is Friday, April 14, 2023. All proceeds benefit Friends of Third.
