A BIG THANK YOU to Esco's Pizza for their generous and delicious donation of pizza to refuel our crews!

Thank you to Eric, our plant manager, who was so kind as to join us from the beginning when he opened the campus for our teams!

The volunteers also found a lot of sweaters, lunch boxes, thermoses, and more, so our Lost & Found is FULL! We encourage all families to take a look through the area to be reunited with lost items soon! Thank you for helping to clear the stacks!

MAKING CARING COMMON UPDATES

Check out this week's Making Caring Common Update post for some exciting developments!

WRITING WORKSHOP

We are excited to announce our very first Writer's Workshop Open Class at 3rd Street Elementary School. This open class is open to parents who might be interested in learning what the Writer's Workshop is and to have an opportunity to experience how children are engaged in the writing process as a writer. It is scheduled on Thursday, February 16 at 8:15 am. Anyone interested must sign up to participate due to limited spaces at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C094BACA82DA3F4CF8-parent

Writing Workshop is an instructional practice designed to help children become confident and capable writers. During Writing Workshop, children have time to work independently and with their peers. They engage in the writing process by selecting topics, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing their original work. They receive explicit instruction in the craft of writing from exploring genre, to organizing their pieces, to word choice, style, and mechanics.
