NO SCHOOL WEDNESDAY 10/5
The campus will be closed this Wednesday, 10/5. School will return back to normal schedule on Thursday, 10/6.
COMMUNITY MEETING AND SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY FRIDAY 10/7
October community meeting will be held this Friday, 10/7 at 9:00 am. The meeting will be on zoom, and a separate notification will be sent out to all parents/community members with zoom link information. In this meeting, the district magnet coordinator, Mary Jane London will be presenting on the magnet program.
This Friday, October 7 is also October's monthly school spirit day. Let's support your class to win their school spirit stick by wearing your class color on this day.
READ AROUND THE WORLD BEGINS
Read Around the World is a book challenge that takes you on an imaginary journey around the world The program begins October 3, 2022. If you are in grades 2–5, please sign up using the link below. (Younger students can anticipate their own customized reading challenge in the months to come.)

I hope your children are getting excited and starting to work on their art submissions for the Reflections Art Contest that begins next week!!!
THEME: Show Your Voice
CATEGORIES: Dance, Literature, Film Production, Photography, Music Composition and Visual Arts.

PTA MEMBERSHIP DRIVE CONTINUES
Our school's PTA Membership drive is in full swing! The 1st Place Class is still up for grabs! As a reminder, the first THREE classes to get to 100% participation will receive money towards classroom supplies and ALL classes will receive a fun Halloween/Fall themed goodie bag for each student in their class. The first place class will receive $75, second $50 and third will receive $25 towards classroom supplies. PTA Membership Drive Ends on 10/14.

The 2022-23 Third Street Yearbook is already underway! Parents/Caregivers, please help us capture memories by submitting photos of your students, class activities, and school events here. CHANGE IN ACCELERATION DAYS
The four optional days that were created to boost student learning to close the student achievement are now changed to regular school days. These days are October 19, December 7, 2022, March 15 and April 19, 2023. More information will be provided for any future optional days.
