As we make our way to the end of the school year, we take this special time to extend our gratitude for the incredible work all our teachers and school staff do for our students, family, and community. Teamwork really makes the dream work and our school has the good fortune of a dream team’s work.
To all our teachers, aides, administrative staff, special programs leaders, cafeteria workers, nurses, therapists, technology support, specialists, and more, our families cannot thank you enough for your dedication and service to our students. Thank you.

CABRILLO MARINE AQUARIUM OPPORTUNITY - LA FAMILY NIGHT 5/25
Dear Third Street Families, We are excited to announce that our school has been invited to participate on May 25th for their annual collaboration with Cabrillo Marine Aquarium for LA Family Night. Pick-up time @ school is 7 PM and return time @ school is around 12 AM. Only 65 spots are available, and it will be on a first come first served basis. Sign up at https://forms.gle/BbsoBuSjWHavLynB7
THIRD STREET’S GOT TALENT RETURNS JUNE 7TH
Third Street’s Got Talent (3SGT) is BACK by popular demand for a fantastic fourth season! This wonderful community event will be held outdoors at school on Friday, June 7th at 6pm. There is no participation fee and it is open to current Third Street singers, dancers, musicians, actors, magicians, comedians, poets, and talents of all kinds! In an effort to keep the show moving and manageable, group acts will be prioritized, especially for our youngest performers. All students who are interested in participating must have a parent/caregiver register here by Friday, May 17th. Auditions will be held during recess the week of May 27th. We can’t wait to see your students shine!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Walkathon such a success. We raised $120,000 which will help provide funding for all of our amazing enrichment programs at Third Street.
If your student won a prize in the raffle or were in the top 3 earners, please stop by the table in the lunch pavilion Monday morning to pick up their prize. If that timing doesn’t work, please email Beth at elizabeth.schmidt@gmail.com, and she can arrange to get it to you.

WE STILL NEED MORE CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS
Did you know that Third Street will be celebrating our Centennial next year?! In honor of 100 years of excellence, we’re already beginning to plan special events and activities for the 2024/25 school year.
It will surely take a village to pull this off so we’re forming a Centennial committee of current parents, alumni, and teachers. If you love Third Street and want to be a part of something truly special, this is for you!
This is an all hands on deck committee. We are looking for people with specific knowledge in areas of construction, editing/videography, producing/directing, and event planning.

Traffic Safety Volunteers wanted - Traffic Safety Valet Sign Up is encouraged for our 1st through 5th grade families. Each slot is only for ~20 minutes and helps our drop offs go smoothly and safely, and enables our school's aides to be on campus helping our students get to class.
