11/16 - 11/19 MINIMUM DAYS
Due to parent conferences, students will be dismissed at 12:35 PM from Tuesday, 11/16 through Friday, 11/19. All gates will be closed at 12:45 PM and any grade 2-5 students that are not be picked up by 12:45 PM will be sent to Beyond the Bell.
REVISED STUDENT PICK-UP PROCEDURES FOR STUDENTS WHO STAY BEYOND 5 PM
Due to the recent change back to standard time, students who stay in KidsKOR and Beyond the Bell will remain indoors after 5 PM. Parents who come to pick up their children BETWEEN 5-6 PM can request their children at the auditorium doors off of June Street. KidsKOR and Beyond the Bell student pick-up BEFORE 5 PM will remain at June Street B.
Please note that due to our vaccination clinic on Tuesday, November 16, parents who arrive between 5-6 PM will request their children at the main entrance, June Street A.
VACCINATION OPPORTUNITIES
There are two upcoming COVID vaccination opportunities that families can take advantage of this week.
Monday, 11/15 from 9 AM - 4 PM
LAUSD is hosting a vaccination clinic for all LAUSD students aged 5-18 years old on the West Hollywood Opportunity Center campus (1049 N. Fairfax Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90046). Students can receive 1st dose, 2nd dose or booster shot vaccinations. Walk-ins are encouraged! No cost, no fees.
Tuesday, 11/16 from 12:30 - 6 PM
Our school is hosting a vaccination clinic on campus. Students aged 5-18 years old can receive 1st dose vaccinations. Tuesday's vaccination clinic is being run by Passport Health (https://www.passporthealthusa.com/company/). Passport Health is the largest and leading provider of travel medicine and immunization services in North America.
Families can make an appointment at https://bit.ly/3oCvGNt. Walk-ups are welcome, however, please note that there will be a separate queue for students with and without an appointment. Vaccinations will be administered in the auditorium. Please line up outside of the auditorium doors off of June Street.
FAIRFAX COMMUNITY OF TOWN SCHOOL TOWN HALL MEETING
Every month, the Community of Schools that 3rd Street belongs to holds a Town Hall Meeting hosted by our local district and our Community of Schools Administrator. This month's meeting is on Tuesday, November 16 at 5 PM and will feature Dr. Eloisa Gonzalez who will discuss student vaccinations. Register at https://tinyurl.com/FairfaxNovember16.
PERIODIC COVID TESTING
Our COVID periodic testing this week will take place on Friday, November 19. Students will be able to continue to get a Daily Pass throughout the week.
THANKSGIVING BREAK
There will be no school between Monday, November 22 through Friday, November 26.
