SCHOOL UPDATES - WEEK OF 12/11/21

COVID SAFETY UPDATES

  • Did your child recently get fully vaccinated? Please be sure to upload proof to LAUSD's Daily Pass Portal. See the following instructions for guidance.

  • Baseline testing for unvaccinated students will take place the first week back from winter break.

  • Weekly COVID-19 testing will only be required for unvaccinated individuals.

  • Unvaccinated asymptomatic students who are close contacts will participate in “modified” (in-school) quarantine, provided all Los Angeles County Department of Public Health requirements are met.

  • Outdoor masking will only be required for schools where fewer than 85% of students on campus are fully vaccinated. Indoor masking will continue to be required for all individuals at all schools, regardless of vaccination status.


INCLEMENT WEATHER PROCEDURES


With rain in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday, please be sure to review the attached inclement weather procedures.


FAIRFAX COMMUNITY OF SCHOOLS TOWN HALL MEETING

Every month, the Community of Schools that 3rd Street belongs to holds a Town Hall Meeting hosted by our local district and our Community of Schools Administrator. This month's meeting is on Thursday, December 16 at 5 PM. This month's agenda includes COVID safety updates, holiday wellness, community resources and events, and a Q/A session. BOOK FAIR

The 3rd Street Book fair continues this week at Chevalier's Books, Larchmonts beloved independent neighborhood bookstore. There are two ways to shop our book fair! Come and shop in person December 6-24 at 126 North Larchmont LA, CA 90004 or shop online at https://bookshop.org/shop/thirdstreetbookfair and have your gifts shipped directly. Be sure to mention the book fair, and Chevalier's will donate 20% of your entire purchase to our school!


MINIMUM DAY

Friday, December 17 is a minimum day. Students will be dismissed at 12:35 PM. All gates will be closed at 12:45 PM. Grade ETK - grade 1 students that are not picked up by 12:45 PM will be sent to the office and can be requested at June Street A. Grade 2-5 students that are not be picked up by 12:45 PM will be sent to Beyond the Bell and can be requested at June Street B.
