OPEN ENROLLMENT
LAUSD offers multiple educational programs throughout its schools. 3rd Street is proud to be one of the few elementary schools within LAUSD to offer three different programs - School for Advanced Studies, Korean Dual Language, and Gifted Magnet Center (grade 3-5). The on-time application window to apply to either of these programs is between 10/3 - 11/18.
Please note that students currently enrolled in a Choices program do not need to reapply. However, a new application is needed for new/prospective students, matriculating students, or for those who wish to attend another Choices program. Resident students who are currently not designated as SAS students will automatically be referred for the designation at the end of the school year if the child has met the eligibility criteria. Non-resident students (permitted students) who are currently not designated as SAS students but wish to be so, must apply through CHOICES. All non-KDLP students (resident or permitted) interested in joining KDLP should also apply through CHOICES.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SEMINAR-9/30
Third Street Virtual Middle School Seminar is coming up this Friday, September 30th at 9am. Panel presentations will begin promptly at 9 am where each school will have 3-4 minutes to present. The presentations will be translated in Korean. Breakout sessions will be available to receive more detailed information on different middle school.
