Community Meeting
Join Principal Kim, Friends of Third, and the PTA at September's Community Meeting this Friday, September 11 at 3 PM. In addition to being provided with the latest news and updates, this month's meeting will feature 3rd Street's school psychologist, Ashley Coakley, who will be providing tips to parents on how they can support their child at home during distance learning. The Zoom link and password will be shared with parents in the upcoming days via our Blackboard Connect system.
Back-to-school Night
In lieu of our annual Back-to-school Breakfast, 3rd Street will be hosting a virtual Back-to-school night on Tuesday, September 15. ETK/TK/K/PAL/SDC and grade 1 teachers will hold their meeting from 5:00-5:30 PM, grade 2-3 teachers will hold their meeting from 5:45-6:15 PM, and grade 4-5 teachers will hold their meeting from 6:30-7:00 PM. Teachers will share their Zoom link to their Back-to-school meeting with their families in the upcoming days.
LAUSD Afternoon Enrichment Courses
LAUSD is offering a fall enrichment program that consists of afterschool virtual courses for any K-12th grade student who is interested and currently enrolled in an LA Unified school. These courses are similar to the summer enrichment courses the district offered, but also include new offerings, as well. Registration begins today, September 8, and closes on September 15 at 11:59 AM. Parents will also need to have previously registered for their Parent Portal account and know their login information when registering at enrichment.lausd.net. School Site Council (SSC) & English Learner Advisory Council (ELAC) Orientation and Election
