DEI Community Read Meeting

For the past couple of months, our Third Street Community Read group has been watching and discussing HBO's Watchmen. At our next meeting, Wednesday, May 26, at 6:30 pm, Watchmen producer/writer — and Third Street parent — Lila Byock will be joining us to offer some behind-the-scenes info about how the show's writers landed on white supremacy as one of the primary themes of the series and to field any other burning questions we might have. To join, please email Jordana Brown.

Return to Campus Updates

Families that currently have a child learning online can opt to have their child return to campus for hybrid instruction. Students can move from online to hybrid on the following remaining day: Tuesday, June 1

Please complete https://forms.gle/xJGURiRsCAzXRtvJ7 by Thursday 5/27 if you'd like your child to return to campus for hybrid instruction. Families with multiple children should complete this form for each child.

PLEASE NOTE THAT AS SOME CLASSROOMS ARE AT CAPACITY THAT STUDENTS WHO ARE RETURNING TO SCHOOL ARE NOT GUARANTEED TO BE PLACED WITH THEIR CURRENT TEACHER.

Device Return

With only three weeks of school remaining, we will begin collecting school issued tech devices (iPads, Chromebooks and hotspots) from our students.

  • All students in AM/PM online classes are to drop-off all devices to the main entrance off of June Street between Monday, June 7 to June 11, between 8:30 am – 3:00 pm.

  • All students in hybrid classes will return their devices to their classroom teacher between Monday, June 7 to June 11.

Students who no longer need a device can drop them off at the main entrance off June Street on any day of the week between 8:30 am and 3 pm. Email Helen Lee, hkl4967@lausd.net or call 323-939-8337 with any questions.

Last Day of School

The last day of school for both hybrid and online students is Friday, June 11.
